OUBLAUM FILMES is a Portuguese film production company created in 2019.
Until now it has produced the feature film ALVA (Rotterdam 2019) and the short films TIMKAT (Visions du Réel 2021) and DOMY+AILUCHA: CENAS KETS! (Cinéma du Réel 2022), all by Ico Costa, the documentary feature films WATERS OF PASTAZA (Berlinale 2022), by Inês T. Alves and TERRA QUE MARCA (Berlinale 2022), by Raul Domingues, and the feature films TOMORROW IS A LONG TIME (Berlinale 2023), by Jow Zhi Wei, and THE HUMAN SURGE 3 (Locarno 2023), by Eduardo Williams.
OUBLAUM FILMES is now finalising Ico Costa’s second feature film and is also producing films in co-production with France, Germany, Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Singapore, Taiwan and China, namely the next feature films by Marcelo Martinessi and Jerónimo Quevedo.
Ico Costa had also produced several of his works before creating the company, including the short films LIBHAKETI (Curtas Vila do Conde 2012), QUATRO HORAS DESCALÇO (Rome 2021), ANTERO (IndieLisboa 2014) and NYO VWETA NAFTA (Rotterdam 2017), and also the documentary BARULHO, ECLIPSE (Cinéma du Réel 2017).
